So much happened during the return of Grand Prix motorcycle racing at the Red Bull Ring in Austria that it took a mighty crew of four Paddock Pass Podcasters to cover it all. Ducati's return to winning ways, Jorge Lorenzo's return to form, Marc Marquez' maturity, ride throughs, dashboard messages: all this and more were topics for discussion between Roadracing World's Neil Morrison, top snapper Tony Goldsmith, MotoMatters.com's own photographer extraordinaire Scott Jones, and David Emmett.

From a hotel room in Vienna, where we assembled to record the lastest episode of the Paddock Pass Podcast, we talk at length about the circuit in Spielberg, and its outstanding facilities. Scott Jones and Tony Goldsmith give their unique perspective as photographers on the spectacular setting of the track, comparing it favorably to many other circuits. We also discuss the safety issues at the circuit, and what MotoGP expects to be done to help address them.

We naturally cover the racing at some length. There is a good discussion of Ducati's first victory in MotoGP, and whether Andrea Iannone's win means Ducati made the right decision on which of the two Andreas to keep. We compare Jorge Lorenzo's performance on Friday versus the rest of the weekend, and address how he stacked up against his teammate. We talk about Marc Marquez' amazing ability to settle for fifth and take the points, rather than try to win an impossible race.

We also talk about the jump starts which marred the start of the race, and the weird situation which saw Stefan Bradl have to do two ride throughs and Hector Barbera get black-flagged. This proved to be highly relevant, given the talk of allowing teams to communicate with their riders via the dashboards.

Naturally, we talk about Romano Fenati, and his remarkable sacking from the Sky VR46 Racing Team, and we go on to cover the amazing performance of Johann Zarco in Moto2, and the outstanding racing in Moto3. It's a long show, but we think you will enjoy it.

If you don't want to miss out on these episodes as they are released, make sure you follow The Paddock Pass Podcast on Facebook and Twitter, or subscribe to it on iTunes or Soundcloud. If you do use iTunes, please remember to rate the show and leave a review, as this helps other MotoGP fans find it. Enjoy the show!
