With the second MotoGP race of the 2020 season in the books, the Neil Morrison and David Emmett spend this episode of the Paddock Pass Podcast looking back at the Gran Premio de Andalucia, and the events which surrounded it. We kick off, unsurprisingly, with Marc Marquez' abortive return from injury, how he did it and how he ended up not racing.

Next, we turn to Yamaha, the other massive story from the weekend. Fabio Quartararo grabbed his second win in a row, and did so convincingly. Valentino Rossi also made a return to the podium, a massive turnaround in his fortunes. And though Maverick Viñales finished second for the second race in a row, we couldn't help but feel that there was something lacking in his performance.

It was not all good news for Yamaha of course, with Franco Morbidelli suffering an engine failure in the race, making it three technical issues for Yamaha in two races. A cause for concern with Brno and Austria coming up.

We then examine how the other factories did. Should Andrea Dovizioso be disappointed to finish sixth, or satisfied that he was once again first Ducati. What happened to Jack Miller and Pecco Bagnaia. We look at Suzuki's tough weekend, Aprilia's continuing issues, and the large number of DNFs in this second race. We discuss the KTM situation, what looks like a competitive bike missing out on the results it should be capable of. And we touch on Takaaki Nakagami's best ever MotoGP result, and the solid progress made by Alex Marquez.
