It was a weird weekend in the desert for the season opener at Qatar. No MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 taking center stage, and a seemingly endless stream of news of race postponements, cancellations, and who knows what else. On the Monday after the race, Neil Morrison and David Emmett gathered in a hotel room to discuss what happened, and where we go from here.

Before getting into the two races at Qatar, we have a long discussion about what is happening with the novel coronavirus outbreak, and its impact on racing. We talk about how the Moto2 and Moto3 race happened in Qatar, why MotoGP didn't and discuss which races might be postponed or canceled. That discussion has been slightly overtaken by events, with both Austin and Argentina pushed back to November, but the underlying debate about Dorna's options, why they want racing to happen, and the financial incentives and repercussions remains valid.

After that, we talk about the Moto2 and Moto3 races in Qatar. About Tetsuta Nagashima's victory, about the role of holding the race at night instead of the day in determining who got their tires right, about Luca Marini's late lap fall from grace, and the strength of Joe Roberts' weekend. And in Moto3, the strong race by both Albert Arenas and John McPhee, and Darryn Binder's bad luck. We finish up the show with our winners and losers, as usual.
