With the WorldSBK season coming to an end under the floodlights in Qatar, Steve English and Gordon Ritchie sat down to look at the last weekend of World Superbikes, to look back, and to look forward.

Steve and Gordo start off with a look at Race 1 on Friday, in hotter conditions than either of them expected. Then they go on to take a longer look at the motivations of all concerned in the battle for third in the WorldSBK championship, with Alex Lowes, Toprak Razgatlioglu, and Michael van der Mark all having their own particular reason for wanting to finish third. (In the end, Lowes took it by a 14 point margin).

They then take a look at the 2019 season. How Jonathan Rea staged perhaps the greatest comeback in motorcycle racing history, and how Alvaro Bautista fell apart midway through the season. Steve and Gordo then give their top three of the 2019 season.

They also take a look ahead at what to expect from 2020. How will Garrett Gerloff fare in the WorldSBK paddock, and how easy will he find the transition from MotoAmerica? What can Alex Lowes do at Kawasaki? How will Scott Redding get on in WorldSBK, and will he provide a boost to the popularity of the series. And what will happen with Honda, with their new CBR1000RR superbike for 2020?
