After a tragic and emotional weekend at Barcelona, David Emmett and Neil Morrison sat down in David's hotel room to discuss the Grand Prix of Catalonia, as well as the test which took place on Monday.

Naturally, the first topic of discussion is the tragic death of Luis Salom on Friday, during free practice for the Moto2 class. Neil and David go over the sequence of events leading up to his death, as well as the aftermath, and how the series coped with it. We talk about track safety and how the track was changed, and how the Safety Commission came to its decision.

Despite the tragedy, the riders and teams decided the race should go on, with the blessing of Salom's team and family. The races were a fitting tribute to a fallen racer, with an incident-packed MotoGP race producing a fantastic duel, a strong Moto2 race and another superb Moto3 race. We discuss the keys to the MotoGP race, the apparent reconciliation between Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez, and the incident between Andrea Iannone and Jorge Lorenzo.

There was also a test on Monday, and we have a quick round up of who was testing what and what it all meant.

It was a difficult weekend for all, and we tried to deal with the tragedy of Salom's death as sensitively as possible. But there was a lot to talk about. There are photo galleries of Luis Salom's funeral on the Spanish Motorsport.com website and on the website of El Pais. We hope you enjoy the show
