Asphalt & Rubber's Jensen Beeler talks to the men on the ground on the Island, Tony Goldsmith and Steve English, in a lengthy discussion that covers almost every aspect of the TT, and includes an interview with TT legend John McGuinness. Being a native of the Isle of Man, Tony Goldsmith brings a unique perspective to the race, and how the Island views the event.

The discussion ranges across all sorts of subjects, from the exceptional circumstances and fine weather which produced record lap times around the Island, to the possible changing of the guard which is taking place at the TT, to a discussion of the TT Zero and electric racing bikes. Steve English talks to John McGuinness about his love of the TT, the differences between short circuit racing and racing on the Island, and the stress and strain which racing on the TT places on riders.

With four deaths during this year's event, Steve, Tony and Jensen do not shy away from the danger. In a frank and honest discussion, they talk about the risks the riders take, and how the whole world of road racing deals with the risks involved in racing on public roads with little in the way of safety. Recorded in the week after the Barcelona MotoGP round, where Luis Salom sadly lost his life during practice for the Moto2 race, the boys compare and contrast attitudes in the Grand Prix paddock to those involved in the TT and the roads.
