The Jerez round of MotoGP turned out very differently to the pundits' predictions, with victory for Dani Pedrosa and the Repsol Hondas while the Yamahas struggled badly. In the latest episode of the Paddock Pass Podcast, Neil Morrison and David Emmett discuss what turned into a very eventful weekend.

We start off with a long discussion of Jerez, and how the temperature affected grip levels and the grip changed the course of the weekend, including how the Moto2 race affected circumstances. Then we talk about how Dani Pedrosa controlled the race, holding off the challenge from his teammate Marc Marquez. We talk about Jorge Lorenzo, and how his fortunes on the Ducati have turned around, as well as changing the view of how the Desmosedici goes around the Spanish track.

Naturally, we pore over what happened to the Yamahas, and how Maverick ViƱales and Valentino Rossi fared. We contrast their fortunes with Johann Zarco, who impressed once again on the Tech 3 bike, and we discuss what the factory Yamaha riders tested at the post-race test on Monday.

We take a brief look at Moto2 and Moto3, and of course we finish up the podcast with our winners and losers for the weekend. Both Neil and David had a couple of rather surprising choices this time around.
