The latest episode of the Paddock Pass Podcast sees Steve English, Neil Morrison, and David Emmett sit down at Valencia to discuss a thrilling season finale, and how the title decider played out. Naturally, there was plenty to talk about, given all of the shenanigans in the race and throughout the weekend.
There was a lot of ground to cover. We talk about Marc Marquez' season, and how he clinched a record-breaking fourth premier title at the tender age of 24. We wonder if it is too early to start trying to measure his greatness against the greats of old, and whether such comparisons are valid.
Naturally, we talk about Ducati's team orders situation, and whether it was the right decision by Jorge Lorenzo not to obey them. We assess whether the situation could have been handled better, and whether it would have made any difference to the outcome.
We also take a look at Yamaha's difficult season, and where it all went wrong for the Movistar Yamaha team. We contrast their fortunes with the rising star of Johann Zarco, and wonder why he manages the Yamaha M1 better than Maverick ViƱales and Valentino Rossi appear to do. And finally, we run down our winners and losers of the weekend.
