The Paddock Pass Podcast crew continue their look back at great seasons of the past, and this time, they come to 2015. Remembered mainly for the events at Sepang that year, it is easy to overlook what a wild and fascinating year it truly was. So much happened in 2015, in fact, that we decided to cut it into two parts.

It was the first year of the Paddock Pass Podcast, and the first year that Steve English, Neil Morrison, and David Emmett were assembled in the paddock throughout the year, and so we all have strong memories of that season. We kick off our review with a look back at the run up to the 2015 season, what happened during 2014 and testing for 2015.

Then we start to work our way through the races, starting in Qatar, where it became evident that Marc Marquez would have trouble with the Honda, and the Ducati GP15 was a real step forward. We discuss how the first part of the season played out, with Marquez' victory in Texas, the first clash between Marquez and Valentino Rossi in Argentina - and Rossi's comfortable win in Termas de Rio Hondo, when the fans started to believe that Rossi might just win that tenth title.

From there to Jerez, when Jorge Lorenzo, recovered from the issues which held him back at the start of the season, went on a tear and won four races in a row. And we finish our round up at Assen, scene of the second major skirmish between Rossi and Marquez, Rossi coming out on top again.

It was a fascinating season, and left us with a lot to talk about. It was a fun podcast to make, and includes bad language and a bad opinion at the end, when Steve vents his thoughts on the Stanley Kubrick classic 2001: A Space Odyssey.
